David Cooper is an economic analyst at the Economic Policy Institute.   He conducts national and state-level research on a variety of issues, including employment and unemployment, poverty, the minimum wage, and wage and income trends. He also provides support to the Economic Analysis and Research Network (EARN) on data-related inquiries and quantitative analyses. David has been interviewed and cited for his research on the minimum wage, poverty, and U.S. economic trends by local and national media, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and NPR. He has a B.A. and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University, where his graduate research focused on international development policy and intergenerational social mobility.
